Thank you for your interest in working for Sandwell Council. It’s a really exciting time to be joining us as we build on the rapid improvements made over the last few years and set our sights on becoming an outstanding council.

In March 2024, we exited a two-year period of government intervention – the quickest ever turnaround. But that was never the extent of our ambitions, and we’re still changing the way we work to become a modern, efficient, and agile organisation that has consistent high customer service standards.

Head of Organisational Development

Reporting to the recently appointed Chief People Officer, this pivotal role will lead the development and implementation of our OD strategy, being at the heart of our transformation journey. Sitting within the Assistant Chief Executive’s directorate, you will be shaping a culture of performance, accountability and continuous improvement, working closely with senior leaders to align OD with our ambition to be an outstanding council.
